What the assignment does not cover
It covers what you generate. It does not cover ReadKidz’s own materials — our interface, branding and code — nor third-party content you include in what you upload, nor work created by other users.
You own what you make.
When you generate a book, a comic, an animation or a song on ReadKidz, our Terms assign you all of our right, title and interest in that output. You may use it for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial — selling it, publishing it to Amazon KDP, or printing it as a gift. We do not stamp a claim on your work: a paid plan exports without any ReadKidz watermark.
Three things to know before you publish
Your output is not exclusive
AI does not produce one-of-a-kind results. Someone entering a similar prompt may get a similar book, and no exclusive right is granted in a style, an idea, or the general characteristics of an output. If you are publishing commercially, this is the part to take seriously.
Check it before you publish
Outputs are generated by machine and can contain errors. You are responsible for reading what you made before you rely on it or put it in front of anyone else.
Questions people ask
Can I sell books I make with ReadKidz?
Yes. Our Terms assign you the rights to the books, comics, animations and songs you generate, and you may use them for any lawful purpose including commercial use.
Do my exports carry a watermark?
Not on a paid plan — paid exports are clean. The free plan watermarks exports, which is a plan limit rather than a claim on your rights: nothing in the Terms lets us hold a stake in what you make.
Can I publish to Amazon KDP?
Yes. Publishing to KDP is a lawful commercial use, and we publish a step-by-step guide for the interior, the cover and the upload. Read the three limits on this page first, particularly that AI outputs are not exclusive.
Could someone else get the same book as me?
Possibly something similar. AI outputs are not unique: a similar prompt can produce a similar result for another user, and no exclusivity is granted in a style, an idea, or the general characteristics of an output. This matters most if you are publishing commercially.
Who owns the text and photos I upload?
You keep whatever copyright you already hold in what you type and upload. Our Terms take only the licence needed to run the service and produce your book.
