How to make an early-learning book

Some books do not need a story. Letters, numbers, colours, how things work, pictures to colour in — one topic, one clear book, planned for you page by page.

Part 1

Choose what to learn

Switch to Early Learning, pick the kind of book, and say in one line what it should teach.

  1. Switch to Early Learning Learning books live under Picture Book. Switch to Early Learning — it makes alphabet, counting, colours and shapes, science and colouring books. There is no story and no main character, just one clear topic per book.
  2. Pick the kind of book Pick the kind of book, or leave it on Auto and Pudding decides from your words. Then choose the page shape and a drawing style.
  3. Say what it should teach Now say what it should teach — like colours on the farm, one colour per page. Planning the book uses credits. Turn on One-click book if you want every page drawn straight away.

Plan and paint

Pudding plans every page first; you try one picture, then paint the rest in one click.

  3. Try one page Draw one page to see the look. Only the pages you draw are charged, and a page that fails is not charged.
  4. Paint the rest Happy with it? Generate all paints the rest of the book at once, and you can watch the pages fill in.

Questions about early-learning books

What kinds of early-learning books can I make?

How is this different from a normal picture book?

A picture book tells a story with a main character. An early-learning book has no story and no hero — it teaches one topic, with one clear idea on each page, so it is planned differently too.

What does it cost?

Planning a book is one charge, shown before you start. Pictures are charged per page, only for the pages you actually draw, and a page that fails to draw is not charged.

Why are my pages empty after planning?
